Most people are aware of the concept of article marketing and the use of articles to drive traffic to a website to make money. It's a very effective method of making money from home - but how do you do it?
The first step is to decide how you are going to use article marketing to make money. There are many different ways but it really depends on your interests and skills. I have found that there are two easy ways to make money from home using article marketing. These are either writing articles to sell or alternatively buying articles to use directly in driving internet traffic to a website. Lets look at both:
Writing Articles for Profit
This can be an interesting and highly lucrative method of generating cash, but you do need to be a native language speaker with reasonable writing skills. If this is you then it could be worth giving article writing a try. Don't underestimate your skills here. There are lots of people trying this who's first language is not english but this shows very easily in the relative poor quality of article produced.
It's important to target your work and the best way of doing this is to write for a specific need by identifying people who need articles on specific subjects. There are a number of websites around which allow people who need articles to post their requirements. Two I have used are the Warrior Forum and DigitalPoint, although both have drawbacks. The Warrior Forum requires a payment of $20 to make a specific post to advertise your service and Digitalpoint have too many rules for my liking. Despite this, both are useful to get a flavour of what kind of articles the article marketers need.
So how much can you make? Someone who's first language is English who can write decent quality articles can expect to get $1.50 to $3.00 per 100 words, so a typical 400 word article will rake in between $6 and $12 per article. It's not difficult to write 4 such articles in an hour if you are familiar with the subject matter, so assuming only $6 per article and working two hours per day for 5 days a weeks, then this will generate $240 per week or $960 per month for working 2 hours per day!
Buying Articles for Traffic Generation
You may have a website and need lots of traffic to generate sales. A great way of doing this is Article Marketing since a correctly placed article with links to your website will generate lots of traffic. A typical clickthrough rate can be between 1% and 5% and therefore 1000 views will mean an extra 10 and 50 visitors to your website for very little cost except for the cost of writing the article. These costs are far cheaper than pay per click advertising such as Google Adwords.
Its easy to buy articles on any subject you like and I recommend using native English speakers since the quality of articles will be proportionally higher. Again there are a number of websites where article writers post their skills and rates and its an easy matter to place an order for, say, 10 articles, and have them in your hands 3 days later. This is a very simple and easy way to make money from home.
